On Wednesday, January 29, once again we gathered in the extremely hospitable surroundings of the non-profit organization “Kyklos”, this time to discuss the matter of Goal Setting and Planning!
My personal goal for this workshop was to encourage the participants to live their dream! During the seminar we talked about how to get from dream to vision, and then to goal. Goals for me are a cornerstone because they provide us with momentum and with incentives to act. Besides, my motto is: “If you don’t look towards where you want to go, you will go towards where you are looking.” We should always remember that everything begins with a dream and that’s why my advice for you is to listen to your dream!
We also talked about how we make our goals a reality! I don’t intend to go into depth; I would, however, like to emphasize one point and say that for your goal to be meaningful, it must fulfill five prerequisites: it should be specific, measurable, ambitious, realistic and time-bounded! Have you ever thought of applying these dimensions to your goals?
During the exercises the participants shared their creative visions with me and allowed me to travel in their dreams. They told me where they were, who they were with and how they felt when their goal became real! I would like to thank them for opening up to me and I really hope that they acquired momentum, strength and courage! Besides, in order to realize a goal we must first see it!
Ending this article, I would like to say how touched I was that a young girl travelled by train from Halkida just to attend the workshop… while being 8 months pregnant! I think this is one of the most touching moments of my career.
Believe In You for one more time, Believe In You in order to achieve your goals; I wholeheartedly hope you continue to dream all your life!
