With “positive thinking” we went on the new Believe In You seminars on Thursday 27 March at the training organization Global Training.
After the “tough” lesson of goal setting, positive thinking put us in a different atmosphere! Is it true that our thoughts carve out our life? All participants agreed that it is so I challenged them with three vital questions: Where are thought created? Who creates them? and Who is responsible for them? Why did I do this? Because if we give answers to these questions we can actually see that it is in our hands to bring positive changes in our lives.
Consequently, we talked about what does a positive life attitude mean and why to have it. I explained to the participants that optimism does not mean I do not see troubles, like many people believe, it simply means I expect things to get better! So, very briefly, we could say that optimistic people focus on the solutions while pessimistic focus on the problems! Therefore, my question to the participants and to you is: Which is your attitude?
We moved on with practical advice about training our minds to think more positively. I motivated the participants to go to positive events, watch movies, read books as well as bring the company of positive people in their lives! I, also, motivated them to find mentors and “steal” from them some behaviors. I proposed that because when we lose our mentors we have to discover the wheel right from the start!
Using Neuro Linguistic Programming and its secrets we did exercises to help us convert negative thoughts into positive ones! I asked all participants to make a list about all things they don’t want others to do to them. How easy do you think it was, however, to convert all these sentences into positive ones?
The seminar was the first step towards positive thinking and our night came to an end with some more advice and with a lot of smiles!
